LAST CALL HEROES BBQ LOOKING FORWARD TO 9TH SEASON WITH KCBS

For Pitmaster Travis Duffy, the goal is to start 2022 just the way he ended it, with great results. The Last Call Heroes Championship BBQ team finished off the 2021 season with a World Championship at the American Royal World Series of BBQ in Kansas City and a 9th place overall at the KCBS World Invitational in Shawnee, OK. The season was a roller coaster with many ups and downs, but Duffy and team just kept plugging away. “We were able to further improve on our consistency and I think our results last year showed that. Our goal this year is to continue working on being more consistent with our entries and start the season out strong. I feel it is important to set the pace early on and get into a rhythm that we can build some momentum throughout the season so we have the confidence that we need when we roll into the big shows in the fall.”

Last Call Heroes BBQ’s season officially kicks off this weekend March 18th - 19th at the Qlathe BBQ Championship in Olathe, KS. where they will compete against 70 of the best BBQ teams in the country for $10,000 as the BBQ season officially kicks off in the Central US. While the season is well underway on each of the coasts, this is officially the unofficial kickoff to the 2022 competition BBQ season for Midwest teams.
Looking forward on the schedule, we follow up with a couple more big contests in Kansas in April. Stay tuned as we share more information on those upcoming events!
